Japan manager Takeshi Okada is unhappy at the number of Scotland withdrawals, saying it has forced him to re-think his team selection.
Six European-based players are in the squad though, including Espanyol midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura, and Catania striker Takayuki Morimoto who has notched three goals already for the Serie A side this season.

This is a great chance though for the outsiders - such as Christophe Berra, Charlie Adams and Derek Riordan to stake a claim in the side.
